Someone with a desire to do something important for the
community. Someone with courage and dedication. Someone who
is willing to work hard and accept the challenge of a
difficult job. Someone who is glad to help.

| Minimum Requirements: |
- 18 years of age
- High school graduate or GED
- Must have permanent residence in or near
the fire district or
Full-time student at UNCC (on or off campus
housing)
- Clean, neat appearance
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Clean criminal background
- Must be able to attend meetings (second
and fourth Monday nights of each month) and
answer calls

strongly preferred but not required: |
- North Carolina Firefighter I or II
Certification
- North Carolina EMT
- Previous firefighting experience

Business meetings are the second Monday night of the month
at 7:30 PM. Training is the fourth Monday of the month at
7:00 PM.
