Runs in 3 Days for Newell
 Over
the past 3 days the volunteers of Newell have responded to
15 runs. Several medical calls and MVAs, including 2
entrapments, kept the department busy.

Trash Fire with Robinson
 Robinson,
Harrisburg and Newell were dispatched for the structure fire
at Harrisburg Road and Robinson Church Road. Robinson
engines arrived to find two roll off dumpsters and a large
pile of pallets burning.
Heavy Rescue 1
on Downtown Pin-in
 Newell
Heavy Rescue 1 was special called to the pin-in with fire on
North Tryon Street in Downtown Charlotte. The minivan struck
a tree and caught fire with one pinned. Several CFD
companies worked to free the patient and contain the fire.
Overturned Dump Truck
 Newell
Rescue and Mallard Creek Fire were alerted for a MVA on the
ramp from I-85 to I-485. Callers reported a dump truck that
flipped several times. Companies arrived to find a truck
with severe damage to the cab.
Storm
Causes Accidents on I-485
 Newell
responded to multiple accidents on 485 including a pin-in
and overturned SUV.
