Car vs. Train MVA


April 28, 2005
A Newell member witnessed a vehicle strike a moving train at Old Concord Road and John Kirk Drive. The vehicle sped through a parking area, jumped a spur line and struck the train. Newell Heavy rescue 1 responded for a reported patient pinned. Charlotte Engines 35 and 34 arrived and confirmed the patient was not pinned. Heavy Rescue 1 stood by to confirm nothing was leaking form the rail cars.
