I-85 MVA with Fire

Race weekend accidents continued later on Saturday morning with a fiery crash on I-85. Newell and Mallard Creek were dispatched to a reported multi-vehicle MVA with fire and 2 entrapments. Mallard Creek Engine 1 arrived and found 2 vehicles fully involved. Newell members arrived and started patient care and triage. Bystanders freed the two trapped occupants from their burning vehicle. MedCenter Air also assisted on the call. Interstate 85 was closed for about an hour while the accident was cleared.
