I-485 Entrapment


April 11, 2005
Newell and Mallard Creek were dispatched to I-485 and North Tryon Street for a reported MVA down an embankment. Newell Rescue 1 arrived to find a single vehicle that had struck the Pavilion Boulevard bridge abutment head-on. The driver was trapped in the vehicle. Newell members removed the driver's door to gain access to the patient.
