On February 26, 2004, we received over 14" of snow in less than 24 hours. The first heavy snow occurred in the late morning. More accumulating snow started later that night. Newell responded to 15 accidents during the storm. The two most significant were on I-485. The first was in the Northbound lane at Caldwell Road. One patient was freed from the vehicle and treated. The second was in the Northbound lane at Rocky River  Road. One patient was freed with non-life threatening injuries.
