Newell Heavy Rescue 1 was dispatched with Mallard
Creek Fire to I-85 Northbound in the Area of the I-485
exit. MEDIC arrived on scene with a corrected location
of I-85 and the County line. Mallard Creek arrived on
scene and advised of a multiple vehicle accident with
multiple patients. Newell Heavy Rescue 1 with 5
volunteers arrived on scene right behind Mallard Creek
Engine 1 and immediately started patient care and
mitigated hazards. Newell units remained on scene for
approximately one hour.
