Newell Fire was dispatched to a report of smoke in
the area of University City Boulevard and the County
Line. At the same time, Harrisburg was being dispatched
to a smoke investigation on Hickory Ridge Road.
Harrisburg companies from Station 2 reported a large
column of smoke in the area of Leila Drive. Harrisburg
Engine 2 responded to that location and found a 2 story
house fully involved. First arriving companies started a
defensive attack. Newell Engine 2 arrived and set up a
drop site for a water shuttle operation. Several takers
from area departments were used to supply water. Newell
personnel assisted with suppression and water supply.
Newell personnel were on scene for approximately 4
hours.
