Car vs. Tree on Mallard Creek Road
 Newell Rescue responded to Mallard Creek Road over
I-85 for a vehicle that left the roadway and struck a
tree. One patient was treated and transported.
House Fire in Mallard Creek
 Mallard Creek and Newell were dispatched to a
reported house fire on Mallard Creek Road at Salome
Church Road. Mallard Creek 9 arrived to find one room
off in an abandoned wood frame dwelling. The fire was
quickly knocked down.
SCBA and Hose Drills
 Members
participated in SCBA and hose drills at the station. There
were also RIT scenarios performed.
Car vs. Tractor-Trailer on I-485
 Newell Rescue responded to I-485 for a
tractor-trailer vs. car. The passenger vehicle entered
the median and ran through the cables into oncoming
traffic. the car was struck head on by a
tractor-trailer. No one was injured.
Vehicle Fire on The Plaza
 Newell fire department responded to a reported
vehicle fire on The Plaza Rd. Extension at Plaza Park
Dr. Newell Engine 2 arrived to find a fully involved car
fire. The car was being pulled by another car when the
right front tire blew out and came off. The car was drug
several miles on the rim, which started the fire. |
